Welcome to this online set of lessons that are designed to introduce (or re-introduce) you to the basics of using the SMART Board in your classroom. Through the lessons, you will watch tutorials, read information, and then participate in hands-on practice that will assist you with using this interactive technology in your classroom.
Who: You can complete these lessons by yourself, with a partner, or a small group. In order for each individual to get hands-on time in a group, please limit the number of people in a group to 3-4 teachers.
Materials: You will need to have access to a computer with internet access and a room with a Smart Board installed and ready to use. This will be crucial for your hands-on time.
Procedure: The most effective way to work through these lessons is to be able to read through the materials, watch the videos, and then have some time to work hands-on with your Smart Board in your classroom.
Remember, you can’t break it- so give it a try! You have the opportunity to use this technology engage and inspire your students in new ways.
